ROLE AT BRIGHTON NOISE:
Gig finder monkey.
FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT LIVING IN BRIGHTON:
The size, the music scene and Chris Eubank .
FAVOURITE LOCAL VENUE:
I like little venues, so The Hope and The Albert are amongst the best for me, but currently, I’m more often or not to be found at The Green Door Store.
BEST PRE-GIG DRINKING HOLE:
Living in Hanover I always like to sneak a pint in either The Constant Service or The Greys, before rolling down the hill.
FIRST EVER GIG:
With the rave scene dominating my teens, I was a bit late to live music, so perhaps unsurprisingly my first gig was The Prodigy in Leeds, 1994 or 95. With this maybe not being quite as embarrassing as other people’s first gigs, (Cat “PJ & Duncan” Walsh) this might be a good time to admit that I do own Five Star – System Addict on 12 inch vinyl!
BEST RECENT GIG:
For 2012, The Megaphonic Thrift at The Albert, Bo Ningen at The Green Door or very recently, Dope Body and Traams at The Hope.
3 TOP BANDS/MUSICIANS:
The Archie Bronson Outfit, Suuns, Future Of The Left.
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
Moon Duo, Bo Ningen, A Place To Bury Strangers, Public Service Broadcasting and Negative Pegasus.
RECOMMENDED BRIGHTON BANDS:
Traams, Nordic Giants, Cold Pumas, Negative Pegasus, Speak Galactic, Esben & the Witch.
