ROLE AT BRIGHTON NOISE:
At the moment, previewer and reviewer.
FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT LIVING IN BRIGHTON:
Dolphin derby, Pompokos, the annual ‘Great Escape Festival’, Mashtun and Stephen Grant.
FAVOURITE LOCAL VENUE:
Concorde 2 for its intimacy and live sound. For up and coming bands, I would say Green Door Store.
BEST PRE-GIG DRINKING HOLE:
Depends on venue location. Prince Albert, Sidewinder and Mashtun.
FIRST EVER GIG:
Oasis at Earls Court in 1997, supported by The Verve. It was such a memorable gig for so many reasons and seeing Richard Ashcroft and co perform ‘Urban Hymns’, which was played repeatedly in my youth and university days.
BEST RECENT GIG:
Beach House at The Haunt. Outside of Brighton, Haim at Camden Dingwalls.
3 TOP BANDS/MUSICIANS:
This is a tough one. Most of my teenage years and 20s, it was Oasis. Otherwise Embrace and Stone Roses.
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
Ben Kweller’s ‘Sha Sha’, Teenage Fanclub ‘Grand Prix’ and Alt-J’s ‘The Awesome Wave’.
RECOMMENDED BRIGHTON BANDS:
The Maccabees. A band to watch out for… Another Costume Party.
