ROLE AT BRIGHTON NOISE:
FAVOURITE THINGS ABOUT LIVING IN BRIGHTON:
I’ve only been living down here for about a month but I love the fact that there’s always something to do. There’s an abundance of pubs and music venues so there’s always something going on. Plus there’s a really great music scene in Brighton.
FAVOURITE LOCAL VENUE:
From what I’ve experienced of the music venues since I’ve been down here I’d have to say that so far The Haunt is my favourite.
BEST PRE-GIG DRINKING HOLE:
At the minute my best pre-gig drinking hole is the Fiddlers Elbow. I seem to find myself in there a lot.
FIRST EVER GIG:
My first ever gig was +44 at Southampton Guildhall. Back then I was a huge Blink 182 fan so seeing two thirds of them was an opportunity I couldn’t miss.
BEST RECENT GIG:
That’s a tough question. I’d have to say that Kasabian at Wembley Arena or Foals at Aylesbury Civic Centre have been my best ever gigs so far.
3 TOP BANDS/MUSICIANS:
Again a tough one to answer. I listen to so much music but my all-time favourite bands have got to be The Smiths, The Strokes and The Libertines. This does change a lot though.
CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
Currently I’m listening to The Vaccines, Two Door Cinema Club and a lot of Sigur Ros. I’m also listening to some great new bands like Fidlar, Splashh and Bastille.
RECOMMENDED BRIGHTON BANDS:
I’m not as familiar with the Brighton scene as I’ve only just moved down here but you can’t overlook The Maccabees. Maybe not a local band anymore but they still originated from here! You’ll have to ask me this in a few more months when I’m more familiar with the scene.
