11 Picks for the Alternative Escape

12/04/2015 By James McLarnon

Europe’s leading festival for new music, The Great Escape, returns to Brighton from Thursday 14th May to Saturday 16th and tickets are now sold out. Never fear, the Alternative Escape, the little brother to the main event continues to grow in stature with what is it’s strongest bill to date, thanks in no small part to the amazing number of talented bands and hardworking promoters we have round these parts.

No Great Escape wristband is required for the shows listed below and most are free though some may ask for a small charge to cover expenses. Entrance to them will be subject to capacity and they are likely to get busy. We recommend arriving  a band or two before the act that you want to see if you want to be totally sure.

We have provided a link to the Facebook event pages if you click on the venue names below. You can join the events, check out the rest of the bill and keep up to date with those shows that don’t have a stage time yet.
