Dog In The Snow Release Uncanny Valley & Celebrate With A Special Mixtape

13/04/2015 By James McLarnon

DITSIf you didn’t know already, Brighton’s glacial, electro-art-popsters Dog In The Snow (Helen Ganya Brown & Eva Bowan) released their jaw-dropping Uncanny Valley EP last Friday 9th October.

We’re long term admirers of the project with their ‘Factory’ single making the upper reaches of our writers’ end of year poll for 2014, as well as them being one of the star attractions at July’s Day Two festival. If you need any further encouragement to make a purchase, then let us tell you it is released by the ever-reliable Love Thy Neighbour imprint (Abi Wade, Hypnotized, Us Baby Bear Bones.)

You can pick it up at:

Resident Brighton
Rough Trade (signed version)
Cult Hero
Norman Records

They also have a spiffing FREE album release show lined up at The Hope and Ruin on 14 October with support from Speak Galactic, Rusalka as well as Fear of Men DJ’s between bands.

And as if that isn’t enough, they’ve provided us with an absolutely outstanding mixtape, which gives a fascinating insight into the sounds that are rocking their world this year. Enjoy!

1. Holly Herndon – An Exit
2. Kins – J.Tito
3. East India Youth – Carousel
4. The Soft Moon – Black
5. Gazelle Twin – Child
6. Björk – Stonemilker
7. Julia Holter – Feel You
8. Nicolas Godin – Orca
9. Sufjan Stevens – Blue Bucket Of Gold
