SupernormalWhat happens when Brighton decamps to Braziers Park, Oxfordshire for a multimedia event for 1,000 people? Supernormal, that’s what. Running from 8-10 August and featuring a host of local talent including Esben and The Witch, Kemper Norton, Lutine, King of Cats, Slum of Legs, Sly and The Family Drone and Speak Galactic, as well as the best the underground has to offer nationally, you’d be a fool to miss it. As luck would have it weekend tickets are still available for a bargain £80. What are you waiting for?

Indie-rockers Phantom Runners are are following up debut single ‘Chasing The Feeling’ with an EP recorded with Radio 6/ Fun Loving Criminal’s Huey Morgan. Set to be released on August 22, the band have released the jaunty ‘On The Run’ on their Soundcloud this week.

Local Record label Anti-Ghost Moon Ray have been releasing many a good record in recent time and next up will be the debut album from Great Pagans, the project of label founder Alex Painter. Entitled Cupid In Error it will emerge on October 20. In the meantime they have released a teaser in the form of ‘So Pure’ which sounds like a lush collaboration between Wild Beasts and Foals.

Ridiculously fun African music club night Ye Ye Fever had had a rather busy month DJing for Lbibio Sound Machine but they are not too busy to return for their usual bi-monthly slot at The Green Door Store on Friday 25 July. Their recently released mix (below) should give you an idea of what to expect as well as being perfectly suitable for the amazing weather we are having at the moment.
